IMPORTANT NOTE: Phone Numbers Now Mandatory for all .BIZ and .US Contacts
After an internal review of Registry operations, NeuStar and NeuLevel have discovered that the ICANN Registry Agreement unintentionally contains conflicting information with respect to the collection and dissemination of telephone numbers within the contractually required WHOIS service.
As a result of this discovery, effective July 1, 2004, all .BIZ and .US contacts must contain valid phone numbers; new contact creates lacking this information will fail. In addition, all updates to existing contacts will fail if the phone number field is blank. If you have not already done so, please review all of your domain contacts to ensure that each contains a phone number.
